Details, details..

I was putting away my freshly washed and dried clothes (isn't it a wonderful feeling?) when I noticed the abundance of blue shirts, which just happened to be my favorite color,  hanging in my closet.
Laughingly, I thought to myself..
Look at my closet..now, what's my favorite color?
Then the little introspective part of my brain started churning..
Little details can tell you so much about a person.
Look at my clothes and you can tell I love the color blue. Look at my bag stocked with deodorant, Germ-X, brush, etc. and you can tell I like to be prepared and am a little, kinda, sorta, yeah, I'm a germaphobe. Look at my school binders and you can tell I'm pitifully unorganized. Look at my grades and you can tell sometimes I slack off.  Look at my Facebook and you can tell I spend waaay too much time on there.
But all these little things add up to well, you. All the little things come together to make you who you are.
I've never thought about it before, but I thought it was pretty cool.

So. That^^^ is a picture of my latest love,Wentworth Miller, aka  Michael Scofield from Prison Break.
With piercing blue eyes, a cute smile..
ain't he cute?

and over all intelligence, how can I resist?

He almost makes me forget about my crush on the Winchester brothers from Supernatural
and John Mayer.
and Keegan Allen
Almost.

I have way too many men on my mind.
Say that ten times fast.

Life is so busy for me this year. I love staying busy and trying whatever new things I can, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Between sports, church, school, and the occasional (occasional?! try, all the time.) I've scooped a lot onto my plate this year, and my academics are showing my struggle to juggle it all.
I'm trying to bring up my grades, but .. it's hard.
Pray for me?
Thanks.
So I found this great verse the other day..
I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8)

When I'm feeling stressed or upset over typical meaningless teen drama (I don't like teenagers, and I am one.), this verse is comforting.
I've noticed I care about people more than I know. Seeing so many people around me in highschool hurting and dealing with problems at home, rumors, with people who aren't even worthy to be called "friend" kills me inside. People don't have to hurt. I hurt for people.

It's definitely made me into a praying woman, that's for sure.

Anyways, I'm stepping off my little soapbox.

So dang adorable!

Changes.

Everything changes.
People, places, even pets. That beautiful little lab you picked out when you were seven will eventually turn into that fat dog lying on your bedroom rug . Things have changed a lot for me this year.  I'm no longer the person I was last year, a month ago, or even yesterday. honestly, I hope to never be her again. Not saying I went through a dramatic life change or anything. I'm not a reformed addict or anything. I'm just saying you never stop growing.. aka changing. Change is good. Most of the time. I welcome it, really (the good). Every little experience I go through shapes me into the sculpture of who I am.  So. embrace it. Don't be afraid. God's got your back. Take risks. Try new things. That said, don't be stupid. Walking along the ledge of a cliff isn't the kind of risks I'm talking about. I'm talking stepping out of your shell to try something that could end up being the best thing you've ever done. I'm talking stop clinging to old crutches to become your own independent person.
So. I'm asking you..
Will you take a leap of faith?
Good luck risk takers,
Kaiti

The Tourist, and Picture Tips.

So this weekend, I went on a date with a certain someone (Yes, you heard that right.. a date.) and saw The Tourist.
Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
Great pair, right?
Honestly, I was more focused on the man on the left..

Whoo. Johnny.
Ha, give a girl a fine man in a movie and suddenly it's a GREAT movie.
Although, I'm not an obsessed fan (I swear!) I enjoy a little Johnny Depp every now and then as much as the next girl.

Now, picture tips..
Note to Self: Pale people look even paler when photographed next to very tan individuals.

Lesson learned. I'm blessed with a light cream skin tone, and when the other day, when I was at a party (which was super fun by the way) I took a picture next to my super tiny, sun-tanned, muscular soccer friend. Let's just say I looked a chunky porcelain doll next to this golden girl.

Christmas is coming soon! I still need to get a present for a few special people in my life! I am waay behind this year!

My favorite Christmas movie:
The Grinch with Jim Carrey.
Classic. Carrey absolutely cracks me up, whether he's Ace Venturo or the green, attractive Grinch.

Anywhooo..
Merry Christmas (if I don't post again before then) and don't forget the reason for the season!
Love and Blessings,
Kaiti

Old Navy Jeans, Life Lessons, and Adam.

I went shopping this weekend (Yay!) and went to a store I usually overlook: Old Navy.
I went in, not expecting to find much. I browsed the clearance rack, checked out the rows of fuzzy faux fur boots (try and say that ten times)..and came to the jeans. Before me lay stacks upon stacks of denim..I hit the motherload.
I tried on a few pairs..and fell in love.

The jeans were all really comfortable, but the skinny jeans actually fit my God given short legs. For once, I found a pair that wasn't too long or didn't fit right in the waist. Perfect. The best part? They were on sale! How can you pass that up?

Now, on to a life lesson. Don't talk behind your friends' backs. Confront someone if you have a problem (gently of course).  In high school, I've learned something: drama gets worse. You'd think you could leave petty fights back in the playground. No, high school girls are feisty, spiteful creatures. We are dramatic and ride on a roller coaster of emotions.

I am crazy about these people.^^  Maroon 5 is amazing. Adam Levine's voice just.. I love it. He's always so expressionless in all their music videos.. it cracks me up.
